Sorghum / Jowar

Jowar also known as sorghum in English has lately become the ‘new quinoa’ due to its gluten free property and the innumerable health benefits that it provides. Jowar contains a good amount of fibre, around 48 percent of what is required by our body on daily basis. Jowar is a complex carb and will be absorbed slowly in the blood stream and not cause a spike in insulin. Hence a good safe food for diabetics and also for those who want to live and eat healthy.
